How Moshi Gems Came to Be
Family First, is the motto of Danielle and Allen Moshi. March 2020 we lost a gem, and heaven gained an angel. Shaoul Moshi, father to Allen and grandfather to Danielle was the most loved man in the world to his family. He started this Jewelry business in 1958 in Japan, and now keeping the business alive and reimagined, Danielle is so excited to be able to keep his Moshi name going for many more years to come.
Meet Danielle
An LA native, Danielle Moshi grew up with an artistic family. As young as middle school age, she would travel around at jewelry pop up selling events designed by her aunt Lily Rachel. Then in high school she traveled and sold with her Dad Allen at multiple wholesale Jewelry Trade Shows. For college, she studied in and out of the US to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After Graduation, she moved back to LA when a new opportunity came about.
In 2011, Lauren and Michael Moshi, approached her to open and manage the first ever Lauren Moshi store on the acclaimed Robertson Blvd. She went on to open 4 more stores with them! In the company, Danielle was a store buyer, designer, merchandiser, stylist, social media manager and much more. After 9 years with this amazing company, Danielle decided it was time to go back to her jewelry dreams and bring her world of retail and wholesale experience with her to start MOSHI GEMS. Moshi Gems items are sold at the Lauren Moshi store as well as direct to consumer.
